On 31.07.2023, a working meeting was held with the European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine (EUAM) to discuss the draft report on strengthening the institutional capacity of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the BES) and the recommendations provided. During the meeting, representatives of the BES and EUAM discussed the digitalisation of analytical work, mechanisms for investigating economic crimes in line with international standards, and ways to improve the institutional capacity of the BES. All suggestions made by EUAM during the meeting have been taken into account and will be further considered in the development of legislation and regulations to enhance the institutional capacity of the BES.
At the same time, the event also included a discussion of the conclusions and recommendations set out in the report with representatives of state authorities, other government agencies, local governments, non-governmental organisations, and the scientific community. However, after the publication of the information on the discussion of the report, no other comments or suggestions were received from these entities, and, accordingly, no discussion was held with them. Taking into account the above, the measure 2.3.6.1.1 was implemented on time, but partially.
