An information and analytical system for management of natural resources management has been introduced, which provides open access to up-to-date information on natural resources, contains the functionality of electronic services, electronic reporting, traceability, environmental monitoring and inspection, as well as an open software interface for creating analytical and visual (geoinformation) software based on the data of this information and analytical system (without the right to modify such data)

Національна інвентаризація лісів здійснюється ВО "Укрдержліспроект" відповідно до постанови КМУ від 21.04.2021 № 392 “Про затвердження Порядку проведення національної інвентаризації лісів та внесення зміни у додаток до Положення про набори даних, які підлягають оприлюдненню у формі відкритих даних”. Роботи розпочаті у 2021 році.
За даними, наданими Міндовкілля, у 2023 році обстежено 2930 лісових інвентаризаційних ділянки по всій території України, окрім Чернігівської, Сумської областей та областей, де ведуться бойові дії, а також окупованих територій.
Як повідомляє Міндовкілля в рамках інформування про стан виконання заходу за І квартал 2024 року, проводяться підготовчі роботи до збору даних в 2024 році.
